Puffin Adventures

10/10 experience!!! Yeah you can watch puffins in a nearby spot for free, but I highly recommend booking an experience with these guys. They are local and do a great job: they are always in good mood, explained a lot about Iceland and wildlife, showed us hidden gem spots and a lot of birds and seals. We had a lot of fun with them. And the costumes and goggles were so new and convenient. Amazing 1 hour spent with these guys. And they also give recommendations about Iceland 😍 they are the best! we just did a tour in July 2024 and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

This was one of our best experiences on Iceland. The 2 brothers who run the tours are really good fun, lots of local knowledge about the area and the wildlife, while running an excellent and very exciting RIB tour. The boat and all the safety equipment is all new and very well maintained so felt very safe. The tour around the little islands, caves and rocks is wonderful with lots of birds and wildlife to see.

We had the most amazing time with Puffin Adventures yesterday! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Iceland. Starting with the journey to get to there- the road trip through the mountains was incredible with stunning views. On the way I managed to spot a whale close to land even from the car!! Then we arrived and were welcomed with a friendly and warm team, and provided comfy dry travel suits for the trip. The boat itself is super fun and goes really fast! You whizz by while puffin fly above you. Our guides were fab along the way with interesting stories and jokes. We saw hump back whales and other types of whales incredibly close. It felt like we could touch them! Little seals came poking up of the water. And lots and lots of puffins, mini penguins and other birds to spot throughout. Highly recommend this!!

Our Puffin Tour was an unforgettable adventure! The two guides were knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience both educational and thrilling. We were lucky enough to see countless puffins and more sea birds, nesting on cliff faces. As if that wasn't enough, the sight of majestic whales surfacing so close to the coast left us in awe. The guides were friendly and ensured we had a safe, comfortable journey. They even saved a young gull that was not strong enough to get back up onto the cliff. This tour is a must-do for anyone definitely worth a detour up to Bakkagerdi.
